The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens shared an incredible look at a phenomenon all tarantulas go through – molting!In a video shared on the Ohio zoo’s YouTube page, a red-kneed tarantula is seen shedding its exoskeleton in order to grow larger. The footage shows the seven hour process in its entirety in a timelapse. According to the zoo, adult tarantulas can molt either once a year or every other year depending on the age and type of species. As of writing, the video has over 900 views on YouTube.
