Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens’ most famous resident, Fiona the hippo, celebrated World Hippo Day on February 15, as she chomped down on some healthy treats in a Facebook Live video broadcast by the zoo.The clip shows Fiona and her mother, Bibi, being fed by zookeepers at the zoo’s Hippo Cove enclosure. The zookeeper narrating the video also debuted Fiona’s training behavior, a technique which zoo staff use to inspect Fiona’s mouth and teeth.According to the zoo, Fiona has raised awareness and interest in hippos and has become an ambassador for her species.The Facebook Live video had earned more than 76,000 views at the time of writing.
