The timing of the meeting is significant as it will come just a few days before the North Korea-U.S. summit in Singapore.
The two leaders are expected to discuss Pyongyang's nuclear program,... and Abe is expected to, once again, ask Trump to resolve the issue of Japanese abductees in the North.
It was also reported Saturday that Abe will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on May 26th.
The two will likely discuss ways to boost their economic ties, as well as share views on the Iran nuclear deal and the situation in Syria.
