Korea's consumer prices climbed 1.3% y/y in March: Statistics Korea

Consumer prices in Korea saw increases in the one-percent range for the sixth straight month in March.
Statistics Korea says its consumer price index jumped one-point-three percent in March compared to the same period last year.
Prices of agricultural products in particular spiked by a whopping four-point-seven percent on-year.
An official from the statistics agency says however the price increase of vegetables has slowed compared to the previous month as the weather got warmer in March.
The core inflation rate, which excludes volatile food and oil prices, rose one-point-three percent on-year.
