Monthly economic greenbook for March released

The government forecasts the recovery pace of the Korean economy will continue on the back of robust exports,... but says risks remain, pointing to the country's rising youth unemployment, U.S. rate hikes and rising trade protectionism.
According to the monthly "Green Book" released by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance on Friday,... the youth unemployment situation has worsened compared to last month, increasing the likelihood that the government will push for a supplementary budget bill for job creation this year.
In January, more than half of the newly employed were aged 60 or above,... with the unemployment rate among those aged 15 to 29 climbing to a staggering eight-point-seven-percent.
