Reacting to the inter-Korean summit announcement,... U.S. President Donald Trump said the meeting between President Moon Jae-in and Kim Jong-un has the potential to be "a great thing for the world."
Speaking at the Oval Office on Tuesday ahead of talks with the Swedish Prime Minister,.. President Trump had this to say on the possibility of talks between Washington and Pyongyang.

"We have come certainly a long way, at least rhetorically, with North Korea. It would be a great thing for the world. It would be a great thing for North Korea. It would be a great thing for the (Korean) Peninsula. But we'll see what happens."

Trump added the North "seems to be acting positively" but stressed he's still taking a wait-and-see approach.
He welcomed the summit announcement on Twitter earlier on Tuesday, but also cautioned that it could be a "false hope".
