Another case of highly pathogenic bird flu has been confirmed in Chungcheongnam-do Province,... the first from the region this winter.
The agriculture ministry says a chicken farm in Dangjin , with some 24-thousand chickens,... was confirmed with the H5N6 strain.
It's the 17th confirmed case of AI this winter since the first outbreak in mid November.
Authorities have placed strict traffic controls around a ten kilometer radius of the farm and disinfected nearby areas to stop it spreading.
Officials are being especially cautious with the start of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics just days away.
