Coast Guard Ship Rams Through Thick Ice on Maine River

A US Coast Guard ice breaker broke through thick ice on the Penobscot River in Maine on Wednesday, January 31. The USCGC Penobscot Bay had to ram through 16-24 inches of ice with another four inches of snow on top, the coast guard said.This ship made it to Bangor.
