Eurozone economy enjoys its best year in a decade with 2.5% growth

Recent data shows the eurozone economy outpaced that of the U.S. for the second straight year in 2017, recording its strongest growth in a decade.
The European Union's statistics agency said Tuesday that eurozone GDP rose two-point-five percent last year, far ahead of the one-point-eight percent reached a year earlier.
It's also the fastest growth rate since a three-point-zero percent rise in 2007, just before the financial crisis.
The data lends support to a rosy outlook given by the IMF last week, which said the global economy will expand three-point-nine percent this year and next.
The 2017 growth figures for the U.S. and China were two-point-three percent and six-point-nine percent, respectively.
