Deadly Earthquake Flattens Building in Eastern Iraq

A 7.3 magnitude earthquake on Sunday night, November 12, killed more than 320 people in the border region between Iraq and Iran and injured thousands more, with the large majority of casualties recorded on the Iranian side.The temblor, which struck at 21:48 local time (18:18 GMT), was felt as far away as Qatar, according to Al Jazeera.The epicenter was recorded southeast of the city of Sulaymaniyah in Iraq. Iraqi Kurdish news outlet Rudaw reported from the town of Darbandikhan in Sulaymaniyah province, showing a collapsed building.
