Debris Fills Bali Streets After Deadly Earthquake

A 7.0 magnitude earthquake off the Indonesian island of Lombok killed at least 82 people and injured hundreds more on Sunday, August 5.The earthquake sparked a tsunami warning which was later cancelled, the Jakarta Post reported. National disaster agency spokesman Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said thousands of buildings had been damaged, according to the report. The earthquake also impacted the neighboring island of Bali with minor damage reported at Ngurah Rai International Airport.Dozens were killed in a 6.4 magnitude earthquake that struck Lombok on July 29.This video shows the damage outside a Circle K store on Nakula Street in Bali’s tourist hotspot Legian.
