US President Donald Trump’s first visit to Trump Tower since his inauguration was met with protests on Monday, August 14.The New York Times reported that thousands of protesters chanted “Shame! Shame!” as Trump’s limousine arrived at his private residence.The protest was held hours after Trump issued a new statement in which he strongly condemned racism and white nationalism. It followed criticism of his initial statement after the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, in which he did not specifically condemn white supremacy groups.
