The ICC Women’s World Cup on Thursday witnessed some hectic activity. Three out of the four spots for the semifinal have been confirmed. However, India failed to seal their spot in the semi-final as they lost to Australia by eight wickets, which allowed the reigning and defending champions to seal their spot in the play-offs. Heading into the last league game, England, South Africa and Australia will primarily play for position in the semifinal but India face a virtual quarterfinal against New Zealand. This is the situation that India are confronting in the race for the ICC Womens World Cup 2017.
