ICC Champions Trophy 2017 will be the eighth edition of the tournament. India comes into the tournament as defending champions, having defeated England in the final of 2013 edition. After ICC’s revenue reform, which saw India’s revenue cut down to significant margin, Board of Control for Cricket in India threatened to pull out of the tournament and delayed in naming the squad.
