Tropical Storm Cindy Churns Ocean Near Grand Isle, Louisiana

Grand Isle, Louisiana, residents were preparing for Tropical Storm Cindy on Tuesday, June 20. Workers have strengthened a recently-repaired levee, according to a news report, and officials asked people to monitor weather reports.The coastal community, popular for fishing, could see four to 15 inches of rain and a tidal surge of one to three feet, the report said.The National Hurricane Center upgraded the system to a tropical storm on Tuesday, issuing tropical storm warnings along the Louisiana coast.
