Typhoon Noru approached Okinawa and the outlying islands of Japan’s Kagoshima Prefecture on Friday, August 4, whipping up strong waves and winds.The typhoon’s winds, estimated at about 86 miles per hour, churned up waves around Tokunoshima Island early on Friday morning, as seen in this video.
