Trump responds to Comey's testimony in Senate
  • 7 years ago
President Trump has now responded to James Comey's testimony in the Senate and let's just say he's not worried one bit. During his testimony, Comey explicitly said that he told Trump multiples times that he was never personally under investigation when it came to his administration's ties with Russia. Comey also said in his testimony that he felt the need to keep memos of his conversations with Trump since he took office in January. He then gave the information to a friend who handed it over to the media, which is what Trump and his lawyer Mark Kasowitz are targeting, Trump initially fired Comey in May over the FBI's handling of the Hillary Clinton investigation, but the latter told the Senate that he believes it was because the president wanted him off the Russia probe.
