Trump pulls out of Paris climate accord
After a week of deliberation and scrutiny, President Donald Trump announced his decision to pull out of the Paris climate accord. Over the last few days, The accord, which is a deal between 195 countries to reduce emissions, was first adopted in Paris in Dec. 2015 before the US and China ratified it in Sept. 2016. Trump also can't technically withdraw from the agreement until November 2019, but can speed up the process by abandoning the underlying Senate-approved climate treaty that the agreement is linked to.
