Passengers get into nasty brawl on Tokyo to Los Angeles flight

TOKYO — An American man has been arrested after wreaking havoc on board an All Nippon Airways flight, causing it to be delayed by nearly two hours.

The Washington Post reports that the fight erupted around 6 p.m. on Monday, just before takeoff from Narita International Airport. A boozed up man in a red Hawaiian shirt suddenly and inexplicably went ballistic and started attacking a male passenger in black.

Another passenger a few rows back started recording the fistfight, which shows the pair brawling violently — throwing punches and lunging at each other. Red even screams a death threat at black.

Frightened passengers can be seen leaping from their seats to escape the chaos, as flight attendants try to separate the two.

The man in the red shirt is led out, but comes marching back moments later.

He’s punched square in the face by his opponent in black, but despite that, the man continues to throw punches and shakes off the female flight attendant trying to restrain him.

Staff eventually got him off the plane and had him arrested after he choked an airline official. He is still reportedly in lockup as of Wednesday, reports Japan Today.

His luggage was taken out of the aircraft, and the flight eventually took off an hour and 40 minutes later.
