The bail plea of Kanhaiya Kumar, the JNU student leader facing sedition charges will now go up before the Delhi High Court with the Supreme Court refusing to hear the plea. Kumar's counsel argued that it was a question of security. They cited the incident at the Patiala House Court where advocates had resorted to violence. Supreme Court did not accept the contention and told Kumar's counsel that the Delhi police has assured of security.
