A week after meeting with China's President Xi Jinping, President Donald Trump pressured China into taking a tougher stance on North Korea. After the deployment of a US naval strike group to the region, North Korea issued a forceful response saying it would counter "reckless acts of aggression" with "whatever methods the US wants to take."
