Selena Gomez is trying to tell her fans that the grass isn’t always greener when you’re on top of the social media kingdom.

The girl has 113 million followers on Instagram, officially the most on the extremely popular platform… In a world full of Instagram models, and everyone else on Earth literally bending over backwards for as many likes as they can get, Selena is Queen.

Seriously, this dark picture she posted with no caption got nearly 3 million likes.

While most people would probably find that gratifying, Selena tells Vogue, “As soon as I became the most followed person on Instagram, I sort of freaked out. It had become so consuming to me. It’s what I woke up to and went to sleep to. I was an addict… I always end up feeling like shit when I look at Instagram.”

Clearly this is a problem only Selena has… Countless accounts on Instagram are ecstatic when they break more than 100 likes, or 1,000 followers, let alone millions and millions of fans.

But, like we said, Selena found it haunting… Which is why she tells Vogue she’s staying “under the radar,” and “ghosting it a bit.”
