Public schools in Virginia close for 'A Day Without A Woman'

Sixteen public schools in Alexandria, Virginia are closing for ‘A Day Without A Woman’. ‘A Day Without A Woman’ is organized by the Women’s March on Washington, and is a strike for the equality and human rights for all women. About 300 staff members requested to leave for the day in the Alexandria City Public Schools Superintendent Alvin L. Crawley ACPS will keep six of its schools open during day to provide students with breakfast and lunch.
