Here's how much a day without women would cost America
  • 7 years ago
International Women's Day is set to take place tomorrow and with it comes an "A Day Without A Woman" strike. The strike encourages women nationwide to take off from paid or unpaid labor, abstain from shopping, and wear red in solidarity. This begs the question, what's the potential economic impact? According to the Center for American Progress, it's almost $21 billion in Gross Domestic Product. Women have long played a vital role in the economy, but women’s earnings and economic contributions are becoming more and more essential.
