On Tuesday, MSNBC's ‘Morning Joe’ began with co-host Mika Brzezinski’s comments on President Trump, his White House, and his Barack Obama wiretapping allegation.
Brzezinski said, “How can anybody trust what this president says at this point? I’m sorry, let’s get right to the chase here. How can anybody trust what comes out of his mouth or his tweets? You can’t.”
She also revealed, “I have some reporting talking to a few people who are either close to the White House or inside it that the president actually knows he messed up and won’t admit it, just refuses to admit it.”
Brzezinski continued, “…everyone in that inner cadre from [Steve] Bannon on down, they’re so busy trying to either save their hides or get each other’s jobs that they don’t realize Rome is burning.”
Brzezinski's criticism was in response to President Trump’s unsubstantiated claims about being wiretapped by his predecessor, Barack Obama.
On Saturday, Trump tweeted, “Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my ‘wires tapped’ in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!”
He also noted, “How low has President Obama gone to tapp my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon/Watergate. Bad (or sick) guy!”

The White House has since called for a Congressional investigation on the matter.
