Paul Ryan On Trump's Mika Tweet: 'I Don't See That As An Appropriate Comment'

House Speaker Paul Ryan commented on President Trump's Thursday tweets.

House Speaker Paul Ryan has joined the many speaking out against President Trump’s Thursday morning tweet about MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski.
During a press conference held just hours after Trump posted the comment, Ryan said, “Obviously, I don’t see that as an appropriate comment…What we’re trying to do around here is improve the tone, the civility of the debate, and this, obviously, doesn’t help do that.”
The Trump tweet in question read, “I heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don't watch anymore). Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year's Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!”
Since its posting, other Republicans have also expressed their disapproval.
Among them is Representative Lynn Jenkins of Kansas, who tweeted, “This is not okay. As a female in politics I am often criticized for my looks. We should be working to empower women.”
South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham spoke out as well, saying via Twitter, “Mr. President, your tweet was beneath the office and represents what is wrong with American politics, not the greatness of America.”
