Woman surprises stepfather by asking him to adopt her

A touching video has emerged from the United States of a woman surprising her stepfather by asking him to adopt her.
In the video, which was filmed last month, the woman gives her stepfather an album of photos with a message written inside and she asks him to read it out loud.
Choking back the tears, he reads the touching message of thanks from his stepdaughter, which concludes with her asking him to adopt her.
Without hesitation, he agrees and as he jumps to his feet to embrace her, she hands him the adoption papers.
"I asked the man who has raised me from the day I was born to adopt me," the woman wrote online.
"I always knew he was my daddy but now...we have made it official!" She added.
