Boy surprises surprises stepdad with adoption papers on his birthday

A heartwarming video has emerged of a teenager giving official adoption papers to his stepfather for his birthday.
The footage, shot in Portland, ON, USA on January 14, shows the stepdad unwrapping a birthday present to find the adoption papers.
Soon after, they both get together in an emotional hug.
''I asked my stepdad to adopt me and he had no idea! It was his birthday and my mom and I got all the papers ready to surprise him", the boy later wrote online.
''He was crying when he saw what they were. He gets really quiet when he's emotional.''
''His dad was there too and he started crying too when he saw me ask his son to adopt me,'' he added.
