France's Marine Le Pen chief of staff investigated over 'fake EU job'

French presidential candidate Marine Le Pen is facing controversy after a formal investigation was launched against her chief of staff Catherine Griset. Griset along with Le Pen's bodyguard, Thierry Legier, are being investigated as to whether they held fake European Parliament jobs. Le Pen initially admitted they had been paid although they were not working, according to the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF). Le Pen claimed the investigation is a plot against her campaign, as she gears up for the first round of voting on April 23. The conservative leader is challenging the allegations brought upon by the Brussels-based anti-fraud office.
