Trump Slams 'Fake News,' Says 'Over Ten' People Interested In White House Chief Of Staff Position

President Trump on Tuesday again slammed the media on Twitter.

President Trump on Tuesday slammed the media over its reporting on the speculation surrounding the next White House chief of staff.
"Fake News has it purposely wrong," Trump tweeted. "Many, over ten, are vying for and wanting the White House Chief of Staff position. Why wouldn't someone want one of the truly great and meaningful jobs in Washington. Please report news correctly. Thank you!"
His tweet came after headlines like, "'There was no Plan B': Trump scrambles to find chief of staff after top candidate turns him down," "Help wanted: Trump needs new chief of staff for 'the worst of times,'" and "After Ayers Turns Down Chief of Staff Job, Trump Is Left Without a Plan B."
Trump on Saturday confirmed current White House Chief of Staff John Kelly's departure.
The president said Kelly will be "leaving at the end of the year."
"We'll be announcing who will be taking John's place - it might be on an interim basis - I'll be announcing that over the next day or two," Trump added.
"He's been with me almost two years now," the president continued. "I appreciate his service very much."
CNN reported last week, citing inside sources, that Kelly's relationship with Trump has deteriorated to the point where the two are no longer on speaking terms.
