Plane carrying Brazilian soccer team crashes, killing 25

A plane carrying more than 80 people, including members of the Brazilian soccer team Chapecoense, crashed in Colombia Monday night. Electrical flaws were reported around 10 p.m. shortly after flying over the town of La Union, according to airport officials. The charter airplane took off from Bolivia and crashed around the Antioquian municipality, only 22 miles from the airport in Colombia. Officials from Colombia's Jose Maria Cordova International Airport reported 25 people were killed in the crash. The soccer team was expected to play in the Copa Sudamerica finals against Atletico Nacional on Wednesday in Medellin, Colombia.
