Ninja breaks into comic book store to steal katana

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA — An unusual character burglarized an Alaskan comic book store on Veterans Day, but was neither stealthy nor quick about it.

KTVA reports that the thief was dressed in a ninja suit when he broke into a Bosco’s game and comic book store in Anchorage just before 6 a.m. on Friday.

Surveillance footage shows the ninja casually strolling through the store, just looking around and taking his sweet time before eventually making off with a single white katana sword.

Staff have been going through the store’s inventory to see if anything else was taken, but so far only the katana seems to be missing.

Police were called to the scene, where they reviewed the footage of the burglary. The CCTV video was eventually put up on YouTube, complete with upbeat music to inject some humor into the situation. A spokesperson for the store did stress that the incident is legitimate, and that Anchorage police are still investigating.
