A Chinese delivery man was shot by robbers on Thursday night in Philadelphia and died soon after crashing his car as he escaped.

The shooting happened at around 10:30 p.m. at a housing development at Hillcreek Circle in Philadelphia.

Rendong Zheng, 49, was called to the address to deliver Chinese food to two teenagers. Once at the address, the teenage suspects allegedly tried to rob him. One of them fired twelve times, but only one bullet hit Zheng, injuring his shoulder, ABC News reported.

Wounded, Zheng tried to drive away but lost control of his car and drove across a grassy median before crashing the vehicle through a fence.

He was pronounced dead at 11 p.m. at Albert Einstein Medical Center.

Both teens have been arrested. Between them, they've been charged with murder, robbery, and aggravated assault.
