Doctors in India removed dozens of knives from a man's stomach after he complained of weakness and pain.
You may like to indulge in a hamburger or a pizza, but a man in India found himself having an unusual craving for knives.
The 42-year-old from the city of Amritsar needed medical attention after experiencing weakness and abdominal pain, notes CNN.
Various medical tests by the staff at The Corporate Hospital revealed numerous foldable knives (seven inches long when extended) inside his stomach.
Doctors performed intensive surgery upon diagnosis and in total, 40 knives were removed from the patient's abdomen, reports The Telegraph.
While there was extensive bleeding, the hospital reports the man is now out of danger.
As to why he consumed those knives, the patient told CNN, "I don't know why I used to swallow knives...I just enjoyed its taste and I was addicted."
He's expected to be evaluated for mental illness in the days ahead.
