Mississippi State University student dies after falling 18-feet inside Davis Wade Stadium Jumbotron

STARKVILLE, MISSISSIPPI — A 21-year-old Mississippi State University junior died after falling from inside the Davis Wade Stadium Jumbotron system.
Andrew Demboski and two friends snuck into the stadium and climbed the Jumbotron early Saturday morning, according to a report by the Clarion-Ledger.
The three students climbed the fence outside the stadium and used a maintenance door to get into the video board system, Mississippi State chief communications officer Sid Salter said on Monday.
The students then used a series of ladders and landings to climb to the top of the Jumbotron.
During the descent, Demboski fell through a landing that was unable to support his weight. The junior fell about 18 feet onto a platform and landed on his head, said Oktibbeha County Coroner Michael Hunt.
First responders needed to cut through a lock and chain to get into the stadium. They had to use a basket and a system of pulleys to get Demboski down.
He was pronounced dead at the scene at about 2:50 a.m.
The university and county officials are investigating the incident.
The two students with Dembowski will not be prosecuted for trespassing at this time.
