Shuddhi Movie | Salman Khan Is Back | Karan Johar

Director-Producer Karan Johar's non-starter project Shuddhi seems to be on track again! Buzz is that superstar Salman Khan is back on board after he walked out of the project last year.
Karan has also roped in Ronnie Screwvala-founder and ex-CEO of UTV Group to co-produce the film.
It had been reported that reason behind Salman walking out of the project was AIB Roast video, where stand-up comedian Tanmay Bhatt made a nasty comment about one of his family members. Apparently, Salman did not like the fact that KJo was a silent spectator during the act. Now, it seems that the Sultan actor and Karan have patched up.
The film has had a rocky start ever since its inception. Initially, KJo offered the lead roles to Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, but they walked out and then the role went to Salman. When Salman declined the role, it went to Ranveer Singh and Deepika but they prioritised Bajirao Mastani over Shuddhi. After that it was also reported that Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt will play the lead roles in the film, but the film never went on floors.
Salman will be seen in YRF's Sultan with Anushka Sharma. The film is slated to release this Eid.
