Salman Khan Firing Case: Accused Anuj Thapan Dies By Suicide In Custody; Family Alleges Murder

Anuj Thapan, one of the four men arrested in connection with the firing incident outside actor Salman Khan’s house in Mumbai, on Wednesday, May 1 died by suicide at the crime branch lock-up at Mumbai police headquarters near Crawford Market. The accused was rushed to St George Hospital for emergency medical assistance after he was found in a critical condition in the lockup. Anuj, who was accused of providing the firearm used in the shooting incident outside Salman’s house, died while undergoing treatment at the hospital. However, the family of the accused has alleged that he was murdered in prison.
