Cyclist sent flying in rush hour Bank junction crash

Footage from Bank junction in central London, UK shows the moment a cyclist was sent flying after a pedestrian stepped into his path during rush hour on Thursday morning.

The cyclist can be heard yelling "f***ing w***er" as he appears to realise he's about to crash, but is too late to stop. He is sent flying onto the road where bystanders rush to help.

Thankfully he does not appear to have been seriously hurt.

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 8:55am to Poultry, EC2R, to reports of a collision involving a cyclist and a pedestrian.

"We sent an ambulance crew to the scene.

"We treated a man at the scene and took him to St Thomas's hospital."

Lawyer Mark Rowney, who captured the footage, described the incident as being caused by 'jaywalkers', asking on Twitter: "when will this jctn be made safe?"
