This Lion tried to initiate mating with the Lioness but she would have none of it. In a short burst of fury, she swung around and lashed out at the Lion. One can clearly see the embarrassment on his face.....

This couple of mating Lions were seen next to the road near Crocodile Bridge Camp in Kruger National Park, South Africa.
It is not clear if this was in the beginning or end of the mating period but what is clear is that the Lioness either was not ready yet or was over her estrus period.
In an attempt to initiate mating(or out of frustrasion), the Lion bit her on the bum !
She immediately reacted by showing him who is boss !

Ussually Kruger National Park Lions mating rituals which, when averaged out, has them mating every 15 minutes for up to 5 days. This means that if they last a full 5 days, they can mate more than 250 times.
The term 'Lions fighting to death' or even 'Lions Hunting' does not apply to this Lions Mating video.
