Brazil: Lawyers Call Impeachment Proceedings Illegal

Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff has called for the defense of democracy and legality in the wake of the establishment of a committee to investigate impeachment proceedings against her. She made the statement after meeting with a team of lawyers who say that the proceedings are illegal. “Any type of rupture with legality will harm the country’s growth and stability,” said Rousseff.
