Nicaragua's Momotombo Volcano Erupts for First Time in 110 Years

Nicaragua’s northwestern Momotombo volcano has erupted for the first time in 110 years, spouting ash and lava. First signs of activity were seen on Tuesday, December 1, when Momotombo emitted gas and ash.
