Defence & Diplmacy: Turkish Elections

The need for early elections in Turkey was necessitated because the June elections were inconclusive. President Erdogan did not pursue his quest for changing the Turkish system of government from Parliamentary to Presidential and played his cards right by calling the bluff of the opposition.
The Turks voted for stability thus enabling the Justice Party to regain its majority in Parliament. Turkish Russian relations in the past have been warmer than before and Turks are now more keen to become members of SCO rather than the EU.
