Venezuela has been re-elected to the United Nations Human Rights Council with 131 members of the General Assembly voting in favor of the country having another three-year term. Other Latin American nations that will be represented on the Council are Ecuador and Panama. Venezuela’s Ambassador to the United Nation Rafael Ramirez called the international backing a moral and political victory for his country, which faces maneuvers of the United States to bring down the democratically elected government and undermine regional unity. teleSUR
