Colombian Elections Peaceful But Marred by Vote Buying

In the past, Colombian elections have been affected by violence related to the country's armed conflict. Yesterday's elections were peaceful, but vote buying was common. The Electoral Observation Mission said five gubernatorial candidates who were "highly questionable" were elected and that they had received 1,300 complaints of vote buying. President Juan Manuel Santos' coalition did well in voting, which will give the government greater maneuvering room in implementing the peace accords. Natalia Margarita reports from Bogota. teleSUR
