Afro-Colombian Strike in Buenaventura

This mainly Afro-Colombian and Indigenous region of Buenaventura has suffered decades of neglect and been torn apart by Colombia’s armed conflict. Now the people of Buenaventura have joined other abandoned regions of Colombia in an indefinite civic strike to demand basic rights like water supply and healthcare. They say government's promised investments have never arrived.
