Colombia: Right-Wing Wins Bogota Elections

In yesterday's regional and local elections in Colombia, right-wing candidate Enrique Peñaloza won the mayoral race with 33% of the vote in Bogota, the nation's capital and largest city. While the elections were relatively violence-free, there were charges of vote buying. These elections will probably be the last held amid the country's civil war and their outcome will determine the political map given that those elected will be responsible for implementing the peace accords.
