Classic Waffle Recipe - Le Gourmet TV

Just like you Mom made you when you were a kid; simple and perfect!

Ingredients:
2¼ cups (560 mL) all purpose flour
¼ cup (60 ml) quick dissolving / fruit sugar
1 Tbsp (15 mL) baking powder
1 tsp (5 mL) salt
3 eggs
2 cups (500 ml) milk
5 oz. unsalted butter, melted and cooled
1½ tsp (7 mL) vanilla extract

Method:
Pre-heat your waffle iron.
Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder & salt.
In another bowl whisk eggs, milk, butter and vanilla in a large jug until well combined.
Slowly whisk dry ingredients into egg and milk mixture to form a smooth batter.
Pour 1⁄2 cup of batter into each waffle square and close lid to cook. Time will depend on your waffle maker.
Repeat with remaining batter.

Makes 12 waffles.
