U.S. Federal Reserve leaves interest rates unchanged, but hike expected soon

The U.S. Federal Reserve has opted to keep rates near zero for now,... but says it is committed to raising interest rates before the end of the year.
Speaking at a press conference in Washington on Wednesday, Fed chairwoman Janet Yellen said that,... while no decision had been made about the exact timing for an increase,... it will happen within the next several months.
The Fed says the U.S. economy is expanding moderately and is on track to grow between one-point-eight percent and two percent in 2015.
It also says the pace of job gains has picked up while the unemployment rate has been holding steady.
Should the Fed decide the raise rates in the coming months,... it'll be the first hike since the 2008 global financial crisis.
