A Houston construction worker has been hospitalized after he was impaled in the chest by a circular blade that broke off of a power saw.

The man was part of a group of contractors working atop a shopping strip building, the new store front for a Neo’s Yogurt, early Monday morning.

The unidentified man was using a power saw when its blade suddenly broke off and punctured him in the chest.
The Houston fire department rushed to the scene where they got on a ladder and loaded the wounded man down the rooftop with a stokes basket.

Paramedics called for backup and the fire department loaded the man into a helicopter to be rushed to a nearby hospital.
