'Suicide by cop' fails as police take down shotgun-wielding woman firing shots outside Houston store

A woman was arrested Monday evening in Texas after firing shots outside a convenience store with a shotgun in an apparent “suicide by cop” attempt.

Officers were called around about 9 p.m. by patrons from Lucky’s bar who heard shots fired into the air in Houston’s Height’s area.

Police spotted the woman standing outside the Sunrise Grocery Convenience Store across White Oak Street.

The suspect walked inside the store with the firearm asking the store clerk how much their soft drinks were.

Police soon spotted the woman outside the gas station and quickly sealed off the area.

The crazed woman reportedly tried to get police to fire at her but the officers were able to sneak behind her and kick the shotgun away before she harmed herself.

The woman was taken into custody to seek a mental health evaluation, thankfully no one was injured in the incident.
